In 1986, Song of Songs began as a piano tuning, regulation and repair service company looking to establish its roots in Queens, New York. As the area continued to develop, more and more families needed their pianos serviced. This led to an increased number of children learning to play the piano at an early age and there was an apparent need for a location where teachers and students could meet, conduct and attend lessons. With this, our music school was brought about. Since then, our center as grown and expanded to include orchestral and band instrument sales as well as establishing itself as the representative for the internationally known music testing board, the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
In the last 20 years, Song of Songs has educated and trained many musicians as well as many students who have gone on to pursue other endeavors. For our younger students, we strive to develop their skills, musically and academically in hopes of building their credentials as future college applicants. To this end, SOS began providing academic and educational resources to its students and community in hopes of fostering greater learning. Today, we are one of the few bookstores in the area which provides materials solely for the preparation of standardized tests from grades K-12. ABRSM was soon introduced to our students in hopes of establishing a high standard and benchmark for them to follow. Many of our students that continued on to pursue careers in music also obtained their advanced diplomas from ABRSM to further establish themselves in the industry.
SOS also now currently offers a large classical music print libraries in our bookstore for students and teachers as well as repair for band instruments. This coupled with our musical instrument offerings, we strive to provide for any need you may have when dealing with your instrument.

In 1998, due to growing traffic congestion and limited space in Flushing, SOS made the decision to move out of downtown Flushing and into Fresh Meadows. This neighborhood provides a better environment for our students with better parking availability and easy access to downtown Flushing for those who need it. In addition, our new location is now located in a better school district as well. Our main facility now contains over 5,000 sq ft located in the safe neighborhood of Auburndale in the heart of Fresh Meadows, NY. It includes more than 20 classrooms, all of which are equipped with central air-conditioning and sound-proof systems. Our piano and musical instrument showroom always easy selection and testing of our products. We welcome you to come check our new music center.
